Just wanted to say thank you for getting your songs into Rock Band. I picked them both up because the samples sounded promising and I was not disappointed. The Backbone sessions were great fun and produced some killer music. Producer Jason Larson did a wonderful job handling the tunes.  Veteran musicians featured on the recordings include bassist Kim Stone, drummer Brian McCrae, Bobby Cole on piano and keys.  Doug Livingston layed down a fine pedal steel performance on "Diana Don't Slow Down".  Gary and Jason each played guitar parts on both songs while Brent Bond and Matthew Spencer layed down soulful horn lines on "Fair Weather Friend".  But  the most fun and spine-tingling sounds came from the performances of The BlackSwan Singers, Coco Brown, Shelly Lindsey and Carl Carwell.  It was a work-filled weekend and it came off like a dream.  Take a look at the pictures from the sessions on the "Photos" page here.

Producer Scott Russell and AmericanMusicMasters.com is releasing an album called "The Tulsa Sound Then And Now".  I am excited and honored to be included on this wonderful project that includes Leon Russell,  Delaney and Bonnie with Eric Clapton and many other great artists. Scott asked me to cover Eric Clapton's "You Were There" for this project. The song was recorded and produced at Backbone Studios in Loveland, Colorado by producer Jason Larson.The work of  pianist Adam Bodine and the Blackswan Singers are featured and the production is quite beautiful.
